The correct answer is Option (1) → India's first domestically built aircraft carrier
INS Vikrant is the first aircraft carrier designed and built in India. It was designed by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau, built by Cochin Shipyard Limited at Kochi, and commissioned into the Navy on 2 September 2022. The ship displaces about 45,000 tonnes and carries MiG-29K fighter jets and helicopters.
It takes its name from India’s first aircraft carrier, the earlier INS Vikrant, which was bought from Britain and served from 1961 to 1997.
