Ratio based on figures of statement of profit & loss as well as the Balance sheet is called as composite ratio.

A composite ratio is a type of ratio which is computed with one variable from the statement of profit and loss and another variable from the balance sheet, it is called composite ratio. For example, ratio of credit revenue from operations to trade receivables (known as trade receivables turnover ratio) is calculated using one figure from the statement of profit and loss (credit revenue from operations) and another figure (trade receivables) from the balance sheet.

OTHER OPTIONS-

  • Profitability Ratios- Profitability ratios delve into a company's capacity to generate earnings based on the utilization of its resources. Prominent profitability ratios include the Gross Profit ratio, Operating ratio, Net Profit Ratio, Return on Investment (ROI) or Capital Employed, Earnings per Share (EPS), Book Value per Share, Dividend per Share, and Price/Earnings (P/E) ratio.
  • Operating Ratio- Operating ratio is computed to analyse cost of operation in relation to revenue from operations. It is calculated as follows: Operating Ratio = (Cost of Revenue from Operations + Operating Expenses)/ Net Revenue from Operations ×100.
  • Liquidity Ratio- Liquidity ratios gauge a company's ability to meet its short-term financial obligations promptly. Liquidity ratios are calculated to measure the short-term solvency of the business, i.e. the firm’s ability to meet its current obligations. These are analysed by looking at the amounts of current assets and current liabilities in the balance sheet. Two common liquidity ratios are the current ratio and the acid-test ratio or quick ratio.
