Question:

The bar graph given below shows the number of books sold by two shopkeepers 51 and 52 in 5 months.

J1 = The total number of books sold by S1 and S2 in all 5 months.

J2 = The difference between the total number of books sold by SI in all 5 months and total number of books sold by S2 in all 5 months.

What is the value of (J1 + J2)?

Options:

160

200

130

260

Correct Answer:

260

Explanation:

J1 = The total number of books sold by S1 and S2 in all 5 months

Sum of S1 & S2 = (50+40+20+15+5) + (5+10+60+30+25)

= 130 + 130

= 260

J2 = The difference between the total number of books sold by SI in all 5 months and total number of books sold by S2 in all 5 months

S1 - S2 = 130 - 130 = 0

Now , J1 + J2 = 260 + 0 = 260
