Question:

If \(\frac{1}{x}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{y}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{z}\) = 1 : 3 : 2 , then x : y : z = ?

Options:

1 : 2 : 3

6 : 5 : 1

6 : 2 : 3

3 : 2 : 5

Correct Answer:

6 : 2 : 3

Explanation:

\(\frac{1}{x}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{y}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{z}\) = 1 : 3 : 2

⇒ x : y : z = \(\frac{1}{1}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{3}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{2}\)

⇒ x : y : z = \(\frac{6}{1}\) ∶ \(\frac{6}{3}\) ∶ \(\frac{6}{2}\)

(Multiplying with LCM)

⇒ x : y : z =  6 : 2 : 3
