The average temperature of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was 33°C. While the average temperature of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was 36°C. If temperature of Monday and Thursday was in the ratio 3 : 4, then find the temperature of Monday.

Average of (M + T + W ) = 33

Total temperature of (M + T + W ) = 33 × 3 = 99     ...........(i)

Average of (T + W + Th ) = 36

Total temperature of (T + W + Th ) = 36 × 3 = 108   ...........(ii)

Ratio of temperature of,   Monday : Thursday = 3 : 4 (given)

∴ 4x - 3x = 9°

x = 9°

Temperature of Monday = 3x = 3 × 9^° = 27°
