In a bag, there are coins of 25 p, 10 p and 5 p in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 5 respectively. If the value of all the coins is ₹5.25, then how many 5 p coins are there in the bag ?

Explanation:

25 p : 10 p : 5 p 

 2    :   3    :  5

⇒ 2 x 25 p + 3 x 10 p + 5 x 5 p 

⇒ (0.5 + 0.3 + 0.25)units = Rs. 5.25

⇒ 1.05 units = 5.25

⇒ 1 unit = 5

No. of 5 paise coins = 5 x 5 = 25.
