Question:

The value of $3 ÷ 21 of 3 × 7 + 24 × 6 ÷ 18 − 3 ÷ 2 + 3 − 2 + 2 × 3 ÷ 6$ is:

Options:

$6\frac{1}{3}$

$9\frac{1}{2}$

$8\frac{5}{6}$

$12\frac{1}{2}$

Correct Answer:

$8\frac{5}{6}$

Explanation:

3 ÷ 21 of 3 × 7 + 24 × 6 ÷ 18 – 3 ÷ 2 + 3 – 2 + 2 × 3 ÷ 6

= 3 ÷ 63 × 7 + 24 × \(\frac{1}{3}\)– \(\frac{3}{2}\)+ 1 + 2 × \(\frac{1}{2}\)

= \(\frac{1}{21}\)× 7 + 8 – \(\frac{3}{2}\)+ 1 + 1

= \(\frac{1}{3}\)+ 8 – \(\frac{3}{2}\)+ 2

= \(\frac{2 + 48 – 9 + 12}{6}\)

= \(\frac{53}{6}\) = $8\frac{5}{6}$
