Question:

A container contains 50 litres of milk. From this container 10 litres of milk was taken out and replaced by water. This process is repeated two more times. How much milk is now left in the container ?

Options:

25.6 litres

25 litres

26.5 litres

20.6 litres

Correct Answer:

25.6 litres

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option (1) → 25.6 litres

Another 10 L of milk is removed,

$10×0.8=8$ liter of milk removed

So, 8 L of milk is removed,

$40-8=32L$ of milk

Remaining milk concentration = $\frac{32}{50}=0.64$

So, 6.4 L is removed,

$32-6.4=25.6L$ of milk
