The median of a set of 13 distinct observations is 18.5. If each of the largest 6 observations of the set is increased by 7, then the median of the new set?

Remains the same as that of the original set

 N= 13 i.e. odd

Median in case of odd no. = \(\frac{n+1}{2}\)th term 

       i.e. 7th term 

if we increase 6 largest no. by 7 . Then there is no effect on 7th no. 

Hence, Median Remains the same as that of the original set
