Question:

If $cos θ=\frac{9}{13}$, then what is the   value of cosecθ ?

Options:

$\frac{13}{\sqrt{22}}$

$\frac{13\sqrt{22}}{44}$

$\frac{2\sqrt{22}}{13}$

$\frac{\sqrt{22}}{13}$

Correct Answer:

$\frac{13\sqrt{22}}{44}$

Explanation:

cosθ = \(\frac{9}{13}\)

{ using,  cosθ = \(\frac{B}{H}\) }

By using pythagoras theorem,

P² + B² = H²

P² + 9² = 13²

P² = 169 - 81 = 88

P = 4 \(\sqrt {22 }\)

Now,

cosec θ = \(\frac{13}{2√22}\)

= \(\frac{13√22}{44}\)
