Question:

At present the sum of the ages of A, B, C is 93 years, where as 10 years ago, the ratio of their age was 4 : 3 : 2.  Find the present age of A, B and C.

Options:

38, 32, 30

38, 31, 24

38, 24, 31

38, 30, 24

Correct Answer:

38, 31, 24

Explanation:

Sum of age of A, B and C before 10 years = 93 - (3 × 10) = 63

⇒ 10 years ago ratio of age: A , B and C = 4  :  3  :  2   ⇒ 9R

here,

⇒ 9R = 63

⇒ 1R = 7

Therefore,

⇒ 10 yeas age age of A, B and C = 28, 21 and 14

⇒ Present age of A, B and C = (28 + 10), (21 + 10) and (14 + 10) = 38, 31 and 24
