The incomes of Ram and Shyam are in the ratio 4 : 3 and their expenditures are in the ratio 3 : 2. If each save Rs. 2500, then what are their incomes?

Rs. 10000, Rs. 7500

* Income -  savings = Expenditure

Let Income of Ram & Shyam = 4R & 3R

ATQ,

⇒ \(\frac{4R - 2500}{3R - 2500}\) = \(\frac{3}{2}\)

⇒ 8R - 5000 = 9R - 7500

⇒ 1R = 2500

Now,

Income of Ram = 4 × 2500 = 10000/-,

Income of Shyam = 3 × 2500 = 7500/-
