If $\phi (n)$ represents Euler quotient function, then what is the value of $\phi (56)$ ?
26
24
28
30
The correct answer is option (2) : 24
$\phi (56) =\phi (2^3×7)$
$=\phi(2^3)×\phi(7)$
$=(2^3-2^2)(7-1)$
$=4×6=24$
