If the total number of students in section C is 57, then the total number of girls in section C and D together will be:

Options:

36

46

48

40

Correct Answer:

46

Explanation:

Total number of students in section C = 57

Total number of students in section C = 19% of total number of students

ATQ

19% = 57

1% = 3

Now , Number of students in D = 17% = 17 ×  3 = 51

Number of girls in C = Total number of students - Total number of Boys

= 57 - 34 = 23

Number of girls in D = Total number of students - Total number of Boys

= 51 - 28

= 23

Total number of girls in section C & D = 23 + 23 = 46
