In a right triangle for an acute angle x, find sinx. It is given that tanx = 5. |
$\frac{1}{3}$ $\frac{5}{\sqrt{(26)}}$ $\frac{2}{5}$ $\frac{5}{\sqrt{(28)}}$ |
$\frac{5}{\sqrt{(26)}}$ |
We are given that :- tan x = \(\frac{5}{1}\) { we know, tan x = \(\frac{P}{B}\) } By using pythagoras theorem, P² + B² = H² 5² + 1² = H² H = \(\sqrt {26 }\) Now, sin x = \(\frac{P}{H}\) = \(\frac{5}{√26}\) |
