Question:

If the average price of three chairs is ₹14,014 and their prices are in the ratio of 3 : 4: 7, then the highest price (in ₹) of chair is:

Options:

3,003

21,021

7,007

5,005

Correct Answer:

21,021

Explanation:

Ratio of prices = 3 : 4 : 7

Total = 14r

Average = $\frac{14r}{3}$ = 14014

Thus, 14r = 14014 x 3

             r = 1001 x 3 = 3003

Highest price  = 7r = 7 x 3003 = 21021
