If the average score in mathematics of all the students is 63, then what is the average score of the girls in mathematics?

Ratio of girls to boys = 7 : 5

Number of girls = \(\frac{96}{12}\) × 7 = 56

Number of Boys = \(\frac{96}{12}\) × 5  = 40

Ratio of average score of Boys to Girls = 7 : 5

40 × 7R + 56 × 5R = 96 × 63

280R + 280R = 6048

R = 10.8

Average score of girls = 5R = 5 × 10.8 = 54
