Percentage of marks obtained by Five students A, B, C, D and E in five subjects.

Find the difference between the total marks obtained by students E in English, Science and Hindi and the total marks obtained by student A in English, Mathematics, Science and Hindi?

Options:

135

145

155

165

Correct Answer:

145

Explanation:

Marks of E in (Eng., Sci., Hindi) = 50 × 54% + 80 × 55% + 75 × 72%

                                                  = 27 + 44 + 54 = 125

Marks of A in (Eng., Maths, Sci., Hindi) = 50 × 70% + 150 × 90% + 80 × 65% + 75 × 64%

                                                             = 35 + 135 + 52 + 48 = 270

Difference = 270 - 125 = 145
