A, B and C are three partners in a business. A receives \(\frac{3}{5}\)th part of the total profit and remaining profit is distributed between B and C equally. If profit return will increase from 12% to 17%, then profit of A increase by Rs.1080. Find the total profit of B & C.

Let the total profit = Rs.1200   (so that \(\frac{3}{5}\) can be calculated easily)

Ratio of profit⇒ A : B : C = 720 : 240 : 240

Now, profit return increased by= 17% - 12% = 5%

So, A's profit increased by = 720 × 5 % = 36

ATQ, 36R = 1080

1R = 30

Total profit of B and C = 720R = 720 × 30 = 21600/-
