Question:

If sin θ = \(\frac{3}{11}\), then what is the value of cotθ ?

Options:

$\frac{3\sqrt{7}}{11}$

$\frac{4\sqrt{7}}{11}$

$\frac{4\sqrt{7}}{3}$

$\frac{3\sqrt{7}}{28}$

Correct Answer:

$\frac{4\sqrt{7}}{3}$

Explanation:

We are given that ,

sinθ = \(\frac{3}{11}\)

{ we know, sinA = \(\frac{P}{H}\) }

By using pythagoras theorem,

P² + B² = H²

3² + B² = 11²

B²  = 121 - 9 = 112

B = 4√7

Now,

cotθ

= \(\frac{B}{P}\)

= \(\frac{4√7}{3}\)
