307.9 cm

Explanation:

1 feet = 12 inch

5 feet = 60 inch

1 inch = 2.54 cm

5 Feet 10 inch = 70 inch = 70 × 2.54 = 177.8 cm.

Now,

tan 30° = \(\frac{AC}{BC}\)

\(\frac{1}{\sqrt {3}}\) = \(\frac{177.8}{BC}\)

BC = 177.8 \(\sqrt {3}\)

BC = 177.8 × 1.732

BC = 307.9 m
