We know that, Downstream speed = Speed of boat in still water + Speed of stream Upstream speed = Speed of boat in still water - Speed of stream Speed of boat = 19kmph Speed of stream = 3kmph Downstream speed = 19 + 3 = 22kmph Upstream speed = 19 - 3 = 16kmph Required time = \(\frac{88}{22}\) + \(\frac{24}{16}\) = 4 + 1.5 = 5.5 |
