If the temperature of the conductor rises, what happens to the drift velocity ?

With rise in the temperature of the conductor, the thermal random motion of the electrons increases. The random motion cancels out the effect of each other. But with rise in temperature, the relaxation time falls down and so does the drift velocity. With falls in drift velocity, one expects the the current to decrease.
