Question:

If $A = \{x: x^2 -5x+6=0\}, B = \{2, 4\}, C = \{4,5\}$, then $A × (B∩C)$ is

Options:

$\{(2, 4), (3, 4)\}$

$\{(4, 2), (4, 3)\}$

$\{(2, 4), (3, 4), (4, 4)\}$

$\{(2, 2), (3, 3), (4, 4), (5, 5)\}$

Correct Answer:

$\{(2, 4), (3, 4)\}$

Explanation:

We have,

$A = \{2, 3\}, B=\{2, 4\}, and C = \{4, 5\}$

$∴B∩C=\{4\}$.

$⇒A × (B∩C)=\{2,3\}×\{4\}=\{(2, 4), (3, 4)\}$
