15 kg of grapes, in which 90% of the content was water, were kept in sunlight. In presence of sunlight, the water content reduced to such an extent that now only 85% of the total weight of the grapes was water. Find the total reduced weight of the grapes.

Weight of grapes = 15 kg

Percentage of water in grapes = 90% of total weight

Percentage of pulp in grapes = 10% of total weight

Percentage of water in dried grapes = 85% of total weight 

Percentage of pulp in dried grapes = 15% of total weight 

Now ,

Weight of grapes × Percentage of pulp = Weight of dried grapes × New Percentage of pulp

15 × 10 = Weight of dried grapes × 15

 Weight of dried grapes = 10 kg
