Question:

If sin θ = \(\sqrt {3 }\)cos θ, then what is the value of cosecθ ?

Options:

\(\frac{√3}{2}\)

1

\(\frac{2}{√3}\)

0

Correct Answer:

\(\frac{2}{√3}\)

Explanation:

 sin θ = \(\sqrt {3}\) cos θ

⇒ \(\frac{sin θ}{cos θ}\) = \(\sqrt {3}\)

⇒ tan θ = \(\sqrt {3}\)

θ = 60°

cosecθ = cosec(60°) = \(\frac{2}{√3}\)
