A ΔABC has sides 5 cm, 6 cm and 7 cm. AB extended touches a circle at P and AC extended touches the same circle at Q. Find the length (in cm) of AQ.

According to the question,

AQ = \(\frac{1}{2}\)(Perimeter of \(\Delta \)ABC)

= AQ = \(\frac{1}{2}\) x (5 + 6 + 7)

= \(\frac{1}{2}\) x 18 cm

= 9 cm

Therefore, length of AQ is 9 cm.
