Question:

The area of the base of a cone is 616 cm2. If its slant height is 20 cm, then what is the total surface area of the cone? [Use $π =\frac{22}{7}$]

Options:

1352 cm2

1296 cm2

1496 cm2

1524 cm2

Correct Answer:

1496 cm2

Explanation:

We know that,

Volume of a hemisphere = \(\frac{2}{3}\) πR3

Volume of a cylinder = πr2h

We know,

Internal radius of hemispherical bowl = 18 cm = R

Internal radius of bottle = 3 cm = r

Internal height of bottle = 4 cm = h

Total volume of liquid in hemisphere = \(\frac{2}{3}\) × π ×18= 3888π cm3

Let the number of bottles = x

3888π = x × π × (3)2 × 4

x = 108
