Five men can do a work in 45 days. Twenty five women can do the same work in 10 days. How many days will 3 men and 5 women take to do the same work?

Explanation:

Total work = Efficiency × Time

ATQ,

Workdone by 5 men in 45 days = 225

workdone by 25 women in 10 days = 250

Let total work = 2250   ( LCM of ( 225 & 250 ) )

Efficiency of 1 men = \(\frac{ 2250 }{225}\) = 10

Efficiency of 1 women = \(\frac{ 2250 }{250}\) = 9

Efficiency of 3 men and 5 women = 3 × 10 + 5 × 9 = 30 + 45 = 75

Time taken by 3 men and 5 women = \(\frac{ 2250 }{75}\) = 30 days

The correct answer is Option (2) → 30
