Explanation:

For $D_f:|\log_4x^2|≤1$

$⇒-1≤\log_4x^2≤1⇒\frac{1}{4}≤x^2≤4⇒\frac{1}{2}≤x≤2$ or $-2≤x≤-\frac{1}{2}$

Hence $D_f=\left[-2,-\frac{1}{2}\right]∪\left[\frac{1}{2},2\right]$
