Question:

A sum of ₹1250 is divided among A, B and C such that A gets $\frac{2}{9}$ of B's share and C gets $\frac{3}{4}$ of A's share. Find the shares of A, B and C (in ₹).

Options:

200, 900, 150

200, 800, 250

150, 800, 350

190, 850, 210

Correct Answer:

200, 900, 150

Explanation:

According to question ,

A = \(\frac{2}{9}\)B

9A = 2B

A : B = 2 : 9

C = \(\frac{3}{4}\)A

4C = 3A

A : C = 4 : 3

Overall, A : B : C = 4 : 18 : 3

According to question,

25R = 1250

1R = 50

Share of A = \(\frac{4}{25}\) × 1250 = Rs. 200

Share of B = \(\frac{18}{25}\) × 1250 = Rs. 900

Share of C = \(\frac{3}{25}\) × 1250 = Rs. 150
