Question:

A cone-shaped temple top has slant height of 10 m and radius of base is 11 m. Find the total cost for painting its curved surface area at the rate of ₹7/m2 [Use $π = \frac{22}{7}$]

Options:

₹2,440

₹2,040

₹2,420

₹2,240

Correct Answer:

₹2,420

Explanation:

We know that,

Curved surface area = πrL

We have,

Slant height = 11 m

Radius of base = 10 m,

So, π × 10 × 11 = 110π

So, the cost of painting,

= 110π × 7 = 770 × \(\frac{22}{7}\) = Rs.2420
