 Wuchereria bancrofti and Wuchereria malayi are types of filarial worms that can cause a condition known as elephantiasis or filariasis. These worms live in the lymphatic vessels of the lower limbs, as well as in the genital organs, leading to chronic inflammation and damage over many years.

Salmonella typhi is abacterium causes typhoid fever in humans. It is typically transmitted through contaminated food and water. Symptoms include high fever, abdominal pain, and gastrointestinal issues. A Widal test meaning is a serologyblood test that helps detect typhoid or enteric fever in the body.

Many viruses also cause diseases in human beings. Rhino viruses represent one such group of viruses which cause one of the most infectious human ailments – the common cold. They infect the nose and respiratory passage but not the lungs. The common cold is characterised by nasal congestion and discharge, sore throat, hoarseness, cough, headache, tiredness, etc., which usually last for 3-7 days.

Ascariasis is caused by the roundworm Ascaris lumbricoides. It is a parasitic infection resulting from ingesting Ascaris eggs found in contaminated soil.ymptoms of these disease include internal bleeding, muscular pain, fever, anemia and blockage of the intestinal passage. The eggs of the parasite are excreted along with the faeces of infected persons which contaminate soil, water, plants, etc.
