The average age of Ram and Shyam is 28 years. If Rahim replaces Ram, then the average age will become 26 years. If Rahim replaces Shyam, then the average age will become 30 years. What are the respective ages of Ram, Shyam and Rahim ?

Lets assume Ram's age is x years

As Avg. age of Ram & Shyam is 28 years

 Shyam's age = 2 X 28 - x = 56-x

 Average age of Ram & Rahim = 30 years

 Rahim's Age = 60-x

Average age of Ram & Rahim = 28 years

⇒ 60 - x + 56 - x = 2 X 26

⇒ 2x = 64 ⇒ x = 32

∴ Ram's Age = 32

Shyam's age = 24

Rahim's age = 28
