Correct Answer:

A. D only

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option (3)- A. D only

Menstruation only occurs if the released ovum is not fertilised. During pregnancy, the endometrium (the lining of the uterus) is maintained to support the developing embryo. The high levels of progesterone and estrogen prevent the breakdown of this lining, which would normally occur during menstruation. During pregnancy all events of the menstrual cycle stop and there is no menstruation.

Leydig cells stimulates synthesis and secretion of androgens. Androgens, in turn, stimulate the process of spermatogenesis. FSH acts on the Sertoli cells and stimulates secretion of some factors which help in the process of spermiogenesis.

Ovulation is a phase in the menstrual cycle when your ovary releases an egg (ovum). Once an egg leaves your ovary, it travels down your fallopian tube where it waits to be fertilized by sperm. On average, it happens on day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle .The secondary oocyte forms a new membrane called zona pellucida surrounding it.
