A train running at speed of 150 km/hr crosses a 300 m long platform in 30 seconds. What is the length of the train in meters ? |
1000 m 1050 m 900 m 950 m |
950 m |
Total distance traveled by train to cross a platform = Length of train(T) + Length of platform = (T + 300) m Speed of train = 150 × \(\frac{5}{18}\) m/sec Time = 30 sec. ⇒ Distance = Speed × Time ⇒ (T + 300) = 150 × \(\frac{5}{18}\) × 30 ⇒ (T + 300) = 1250 ⇒ T = 1250 - 300 = 950
