Question:

The ratio of speeds of two aeroplanes is 7 : 15. If the first flight covers a distance of 1050 km in 3 hours, then what is the speed of the 2nd flight?

Options:

720 km/h

675 km/h

900 km/h

750 km/h

Correct Answer:

750 km/h

Explanation:

Ratio of speed of Aeroplanes is 7 : 15

We know, Speed = \(\frac{Distance}{Time}\)

Hence, the speed of the first aeroplane = \(\frac{1050}{3}\)

= 350 km/hour

According to question ,

Now, 7R = 550

1R = 50

Hence, the speed of the second aeroplane = 15R = 15 × 50 = 750 km/h

So ,  The speed of the second aeroplane is 750 km/h.
