Question:

If A is 28% less than B and C is 25% less than the sum of A and B, then by what percentage will C be more than A (correct to one decimal place)?

Options:

84.3%

79.2%

81.6%

75.5%

Correct Answer:

79.2%

Explanation:

28% =  \(\frac{7}{25}\) & 25% =  \(\frac{1}{4}\)

Ratio of ,   A   :   B  =  18 :  25

C : A + B = 3 : 4

As, 4R = 18 + 25 = 43

1R = 10.75

3R = 32.25

So , C = 32.25

Required percentage = \(\frac{32.25 - 18 }{18}\) × 100 = 79.166%

= 79.2%   ( correct to one decimal place )
