Question:

Ram loses $12\frac{1}{2}$ % of his money and after spending 75% of the remainder, is left with ₹630. How much money did Ram have initially ?

Options:

₹2,080

₹2,880

₹2,205

₹2,808

Correct Answer:

₹2,880

Explanation:

Let Ram initially have to be Rs. 100x

According to question ,

 = 100x × 12.5%

= 12x

So,

Remaining money = 100x - 12.5x

= Rs. 87.5x

87.5x × \(\frac{25}{100}\) = Rs. 630

 87.5x = 630 × 4

 87.5x = 2520

x = \(\frac{2520}{87.5}\)

x = 28.8

So, 100x = 2880
