Practicing Success
A and B together are supposed to do $\frac{13}{15}$ of the work and B and C together $\frac{11}{20}$ of the work. If the difference of wages of A and C is ₹7600, then the total wages of A and C is: |
₹14000 ₹18000 ₹36000 ₹56000 |
₹14000 |
A - C = Rs. 7600, Formula to be used here, \(\frac{Work done}{Total work}\) = Total wages. Calculation, Let work be 60, ⇒ Work done by A + B = \(\frac{13}{15}\) x 60 = 52 units, ⇒ Work done by C = 60 - 52 = 8 units, ⇒ Work done by B+C = \(\frac{11}{20}\) x 60 = 33 units, ⇒ Work done by A = 60 - 33 = 27 units, ⇒ Work done by B = 60 - 27 - 8 = 25 units, According to the question, ⇒ 27 - 8 = 19 units = 7600, ⇒ 1 unit = Rs. 400, ⇒ Total wages of A + C = (21 + 8) = 35 x 400 = Rs. 14000. |
