Question:

Three identical dices are rolled together, what is the probability that the product of all three outcomes on the three dices will be odd ?

Options:

\(\frac{1}{4}\)

\(\frac{2}{5}\)

\(\frac{1}{8}\)

\(\frac{1}{5}\)

Correct Answer:

\(\frac{1}{8}\)

Explanation:

Product of all the digits will be odd if all the digits are odd.

Probability to get odd on one dice =\(\frac{3}{6}\) = \(\frac{1}{2}\)

so, probability of getting odd no. on all the three devices = \(\frac{1}{2}\) ×\(\frac{1}{2}\) × \(\frac{1}{2}\)

Probability ( product will be odd) = \(\frac{1}{8}\)
