Question:

If ∝ + ß = \(\frac{π}{2}\) ; and ∝ + ß = 2: 3 then value of sin∝ + cosß is?

Options:

2.87

1.175

0.587

3.17

Correct Answer:

1.175

Explanation:

∝ + ß = \(\frac{π}{2}\) ⇒ 2x + 3x = \(\frac{π}{2}\)

⇒ 5x = 90° ⇒ x = 18

sin° ∝ + sin° ß = sin° 36 + cos 54

                        = sin° 36 + sin° 36

                        = 2 sin° 36

                        = 2 sin° 0.587

                        = 1.175
