Question:

$P = 18 \times 9 \div 6 + 5 \times 15 ÷ 25$ and $Q = 15 \div 5 \times 5 - 25 \div 5$, what is the value of (P ÷ Q) ?

Options:

2.5

2

3

1.5

Correct Answer:

3

Explanation:

Given:

P = 18 × 9 ÷ 6 + 5 × 15 ÷ 25

Q = 15 ÷ 5 × 5 - 25 ÷ 5

So, P = 18 × 9 ÷ 6 + 5 × 15 ÷ 25

= 18 x \(\frac{9}{6}\) + 5 x \(\frac{15}{25}\)

= 19 x 3 + 3

= 30

Q = 15 ÷ 5 x 5 - 25 ÷ 5

= \(\frac{15}{5}\) x 5 - \(\frac{25}{5}\)

= 15 - 5

= 10

(P ÷ Q) = \(\frac{30}{10}\) = 03
