Question:

The table given below shows the production of bike and truck by five companies.

  Production

Companies Bikes Truck
D 700 500
E 450 300
F 500 200
G 250 600
H 300 650

A1 = The difference between the total production of bikes and trucks by all the 5 companies.

A2= The average production of bike by company D, F and H .

What is the value of (A2/A1)?

Options:

50

10

5

1

Correct Answer:

10

Explanation:

Total production of Bike = 700 + 450 + 500 + 250 + 300 = 2200

Total production of Truck = 500 + 300 + 200 + 600 + 650 = 2250

A1 = 2250 - 200 = 50

A2= The average production of bike by company D, F and H

= \(\frac{700 + 500 + 300 }{3}\) = 500

Now , \(\frac{A2}{A1}\) = \(\frac{500}{50}\) = 10
