If the median of the following data is 13, then find the value of k?
4, 20, 11, 8, 7, 10, (k+7), 16, 19

Arrange in Ascending order= 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 16,19, 20 but place of (k+7) is indefinite 

N=9 i.e. N is odd

  Median in case of odd no. = \(\frac{n+1}{2}\)th term 

                                        = 5th term 

and Median is 13 i.e. 5th term . so, (k+7) must be median and at 5th place 

    ⇒ (k+7) = 13

        k = 6
