If $a^{3}+\frac{1}{a^{3}} = 52$

this value is only possible when the value of $\left(a + \frac{1}{a}\right)$ is = 4

so put this value in the desired equation = $2\left(a + \frac{1}{a}\right)$ 

$2\left(a + \frac{1}{a}\right)$  = $2\left(4\right)$ = 4
