A 20µF capacitor which is initially uncharged is connected to a 6V battery through a resistor with resistance equal to 200Ω. 

Calculate the time taken by the capacitor to be charged to 0.80q₀.

Q = 20 \(\mu\)F x 6 V = 120 \(\mu\)

I = \(\frac{6 V}{200 \Omega}\) = 0.03 A

I = Q/t ∴ t = \(\frac{Q}{I}\) = 4 ms

Time to charge to Q_o = 4 ms

Time to charge to 0.8 Q_o = 0.8 x 4 ms = 3.2 ms
