Question:

The income of A is 45% more than the income of B and the income of C is 60% less than the sum of the incomes of A and B. The income of D is 20% more than that of C. If the difference between the incomes of B and D is ₹13200, then the income (in ₹) of C is:

Options:

72000

72500

73500

75000

Correct Answer:

73500

Explanation:

Let the income of B = 100

⇒ Income of A = 100 × \(\frac{145}{100}\) = 145

Income of C = (100 + 145) ×\(\frac{40}{100}\) = 98

Income of D = 98 × \(\frac{40}{100}\) = 117.6

The difference between income of D and B = 117.6 - 100 = 17.6

= 17.6 = Rs.13200

∴ Income of C = 13200 × \(\frac{98}{117.6}\) = Rs.73500
